and a happy new year
Posted: 01/01/2013 Filed under: January 2013 3 Comments »Is it really 1st January 2013? I couldn’t imagine life a year ahead this time last year. We were living in England, UK, it was snowy and cold and we were amongst friends and family. Here we are now amongst the parrots and sunshine of Adelaide, Australia and it feels as though we have been here for years already. It hasn’t been an easy year, that’s for sure – in fact it’s without doubt been the most stressful year of our lives:
Emigrating, goodbyes, redundancy, car brake failure giving me the biggest fright of my life, fraud on our bank account, starting new jobs, starting new courses, and just last week someone reversed into our car and we’re pretty sure it’s a write-off. But we’ve done it – we’ve survived the whole of 2012 and we’ve come out the other side smiling! We’re setting up our new futures here and we’ve got so much to look forward to next year – a new baby arriving, completing my course, Steve in a job he enjoys and spending time with friends and taking a little time to stop hurtling along trying to ‘sort’ things out and just start to enjoy what we have a little more, we can relax a little now and that’s what we intend to do. No resolutions for me – just to stay happy, healthy and enjoy each day a little more.
Happy New Year everybody.

Happy New Year to you and your family! May your year be filled with love and happiness.
